Don was in Paris this summer. There's definite competition to Crofut wines here, but MN grapes still taste darned good under the Eiffel Tower!A long hot summer, followed by a deluge of water at the beginning of September leads to a bountiful grape harvest. A big THANKS to all the friends who have came out to participate and share.
We served food & wine to thank our helpers (the elk meat went over well). Helpers also got to take a bottle of Crofut wine home to sooth the tired back.

During the harvest we saved several daring tree frogs who enjoyed a ride from the vineyard to ...almost the crusher. We will make sure at Grape Stomp '07 these happy little guys do not end up at the bottom of the barrel...so to speak. The Grape Stomp takes place September 29-30. It's going to be a lot of fun -- hope you come join us!
